The Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) is the province's official high school diploma. To earn a high school diploma, you need to earn 30 secondary school credits.

The OSSD program utilizes a credit-based system, offering students significant flexibility and autonomy. To earn the OSSD diploma in Ontario, Canada, students must complete a minimum of 30 credits. This includes 18 mandatory credits in subjects like English, mathematics, science, and Canadian history, along with 12 elective credits in areas such as business, natural sciences, arts, and social sciences. Additionally, students are required to complete 40 hours of community service and pass the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT).
